Round table on music education with Minister for Culture Claudia Roth in the Kanzleramt in Berlin. It was a pleasure to represent community music in the discussion to find solutions to problems in music education in Germany.
We had an amazing Community Music Activity pre conference at the University of Tampere in Finland. We had over 100 people from around the world, talks, practical workshops, a concert cruise on an island, a Finnish saune evening, a day trip, a conference dinner...it was a beautiful time, thank you so much to the CMA team Christine D'Alexander, Kathleen Turner, Nic Coffman, Hala Jaber and Vyv Abla. And a special thank you to Kaarina Marjanen our generous host.
I am very pleased about this new publication and these two new videos about the Community Music Netzwerk Germany. I have been devoting a lot of time during the last 10 years in building this network and the videos and the text give a good idea about the work we do for the field of community music in Germany!
I'm super excited to visit Seoul, Korea for the first time to give a talk about Community Music in Germany at the conference "The Role of Music Education for Humans and Society in the New Era" organized by the Association for Future Music Education!
