Das Münchener Kulturreferat, die Münchner Community Music Aktionsforschungsgruppe und die Community Music Initiative München laden Sie ganz herzlich zu unserer Community Music Salon Zukunftswerkstatt ein. Hier möchten wir auf die vergangenen Workshops zurückblicken, aber vor allem die Zukunft der Initiative Community Music und der Salons gemeinsam mit Ihnen gestalten.

Bei einer Kleinigkeit zu essen sowie einem Bier oder Wein, würden wir gerne Vorschläge, Kritik, Wünsche und Anregungen austauschen.

Another year....

Thank you to my students of the second intake of the MA inclusive music education/community music for a year with lots of deep, interesting and thoughtful conversations and music making. I can't wait for their capstone projects to happen in the autumn!

Creative Interactions

Thank you to Prof. Andrea Sangiorgio of the University of Music and Performing Arts for a thought provoking conference. I presented a paper on Community Music and Creativity, and particularly enjoyed the very inspiring key note by Dr. Kerry Chappell on transdisciplinary creativity!

KOMMA

Thank you to Amos Heuss for a great day at KOMMA, an inspiring arts and cultural centre in Esslingen! I led a singing workshop for the conference attendees and a workshop and talk on community music and community cultural development (thank you Peggie Kummer for your help and ideas!).

Community Music position at the Konzerthaus Dortmund

Over the last four months I have been working with Raphael Hoensbroech and his amazing team on the development of community music at the Konzerthaus Dortmund.  I am very excited to share this job opportunity: a full time position to develop and build community music at the Konzerthaus Dortmund.

End of a journey..

Yesterday I passed my final doctoral exam...thank you to Christine Dettmann for making it a special moment with these beautiful flowers...next is the publication of my thesis and then it's finally done!

Musikschule Ebersberg and community music

Soundpainting Workshop mit Carina Dengler: 8. Community Music Salon:
Dienstag 27. November 2018, 17 Uhr bis 20 Uhr, Anmeldung hier.

Soundpainting ist eine Zeichensprache, die in den 1970er Jahren von Walter Thompson entwickelt wurde und mit der man Live-Kompositionen mit Musikern, Tänzern, Schauspielern sowie visuellen Künstlern kreieren kann. In mehr als 35 Ländern wird mit Soundpainting sowohl auf professionell künstlerischer Ebene als auch im Bildungsbereich gearbeitet. Für Kinder ist es eine wunderbare Möglichkeit, sich durch Sprache, Musik oder Bewegung auszudrücken, zu improvisieren und kreativ zu sein.
In diesem Workshop werden die Grundlagen von Soundpainting erforscht, einige Zeichen kennengelernt und damit kurze Performances kreiert. Die Teilnehmer können verschiedene Kunstformen ausprobieren und selbst Soundpainter sein. Es wird auch Beispiele dazu geben, wie man Soundpainting in community settings anwenden kann, z.B. in Schulen oder Flüchtlingsunterkünften.
