Amazing national Community Music Network meeting in my hometown Munich at the Munich libraries where Dr. Arne Ackermann is leading a visionary cultural organization finding new ways of being a place for community (and community music). The dream team of Matt Robinson, Swantje Ndiaye, Marion Haak-Schulenburg and Marie Karaisl in collaboration with the local team Jessika Köbele, Jürgen Heinik and Jakob Ruster did an amazing job at hosting around 80 community musicians from Germany and Austria over two days of workshops, networking, concerts and further development of the Community Music Netzwerk. Together with Antje Valentin (Deutscher Musikrat) and Katharina von Korff (Kulturreferat München) I was on a panel exploring cultural political aspects and developments of community music from international, national and local perspectives.
