I loved spending time with the Treppenhaus Orchester in Hannover during their festival and speaking at the launch of their community app, Treppenhaus Cloud in the beautiful Cumberlandsche Galerie. I’m incredibly impressed by this group of musicians, who are exploring new ways to interact with and build relationships within their community — from playing table tennis after concerts, to collecting rubbish together, to creating music projects in the neighborhood, and now through an app designed to connect the orchestra and their audience while building community.
